Former Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-Md.) thanked one of his supporters with a guitar ballad released Monday afternoon.

“Congrats, Kathryn,” the Democratic presidential candidate tweeted. “Here’s the video our lucky winner received from the Governor himself — thank you for your support!”

{mosads}O’Malley’s tweet includes a video of the former governor performing for Kathryn Touloumis, a Chicago resident who donated $25 toward his Oval Office bid.

“The quarter’s finally over [and] we’ve got more gas in our tank,” he sang in the recording. “I can’t tell you my excitement because it’s you I have to thank.

“It may seem like it is just money, but to me it’s so much more — it keeps my staff door knocking in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina and more,” O’Malley crooned.

“Thank you Kathryn for lending me your hand, thank you Kathryn for spreading our message of new leadership across the land of the free and the home of the brave,” he added.

O’Malley had originally promised he would record a personalized thank you for one donor who contributed $25 toward his campaign before midnight on Sept. 30.

His song for Touloumis comes as he heads into the first televised presidential debate in Las Vegas late Tuesday evening.

The former governor is currently struggling for traction with voters across multiple national polls.

O’Malley ranks fifth out of seven options for the Democratic presidential nomination with less than 1 percent, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of samplings.

A new poll released Monday also found that O’Malley has single-digit support in Maryland, despite having served as governor there.

A Washington Post/University of Maryland sampling finds O’Malley receiving 4 percent support among Democrats in the Old Line State.
