Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said Donald Trump should not be the GOP nominee because he would lose to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in a general election.

Fiorina said Clinton hopes to face off against Trump in a head-to-head race. “Well, because she can beat Donald Trump; Donald Trump can’t beat Hillary Clinton,” Fiorina said on “Fox News Sunday.”

{mosads}A Fox News poll on Friday found Clinton ahead of Trump by 11 points among all voters nationwide.

Fiorina called Trump a “big Christmas gift wrapped up under the tree” for Clinton.

“I, however, am the lump of coal in Mrs. Clinton stocking, and she desperately hopes that she does not run against me,” she added.

The former Hewlett-Packard CEO said she understands the technological aspects of the fight against terrorism better than Clinton, who served as secretary of State in the Obama administration.

“Hillary Clinton tried to issue the same line last night [at the debate], by the way, but then quickly had to say, ‘I don’t really understand much about technology,’ because she doesn’t,” Fiorina said.
