Christie: NH voters ‘disgusted’ with Jeb, Rubio ads
Republican primary candidate Chris Christie says voters in New Hampshire are “disgusted” by the negative attack ads being run in the state by rivals Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.
{mosads}“I had a half a dozen people come up to me and say to me that they’re really disgusted with all the ads up here and all the negativity from Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio,” Christie said early Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“And they said we’re really happy that you’re above the fray, you’re talking about yourself in your ads, you’re not talking about anyone else,” he added.
The New Jersey governor said he is willing to mix it up with his rivals on the campaign trail, but said it doesn’t make any sense to go negative at this point.
“You know me, if I need to fight, I will, but at the moment I don’t think picking any one particular person to fight makes any sense,” he said. “It won’t be appealing to the voters.”
“So we’re going to continue to give people a positive choice,” he added.
