Poll: Sanders holds 2-to-1 lead over Clinton in NH

Bernie Sanders holds a commanding lead over Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, a new poll released Thursday finds. 

{mosads}A new CNN/WMUR poll found that the Vermont senator leads Clinton 61 to 30 percent, following Monday night’s Iowa caucuses. The former secretary of State defeated Sanders by a razor-thin margin in the first-in-the-nation caucus. 

Since the January poll, Sanders support has grown by 4 percentage points while Clinton has seen a drop in support of the same number. 

The survey also shows that 64 percent of likely Democratic voters have made a definite decision while 17 percent are still deciding.

Sanders, who has been surpassing Clinton in New Hampshire polling, is the prohibitive favorite especially as a senator from a neighboring state. The poll found that 61 percent of likely Democratic voters think he’ll win the primary while only 25 percent think Clinton will defeat him.

The poll was conducted from Feb. 2 to 4 and surveyed 228 likely Democratic New Hampshire primary voters. The margin of error was 6.5 percentage points.
