White House hopeful Bernie Sanders says he agrees with the Des Moines Register editorial board that result of Monday’s Iowa caucuses should be audited, but that the issue is being blown out of proportion.

Speaking Thursday at the Democratic presidential debate in New Hampshire, Sanders was asked to address an editorial from Iowa’s largest newspaper, which called for a “complete audit” to address inconsistencies and chaos at the caucuses.

{mosads}“I agree with the Des Moines Register, but let’s not blow this out of proportion,” the Vermont senator said.

“This is not like a winner-take-all thing. I think where we now stand, correct me if I’m wrong, you have 22 delegates, I have 20 delegates, we need 2,500 delegates to win the nomination,” he said, regarding rival Hillary Clinton. “This is not the biggest deal in the world.”

Clinton gave only a brief response to the question.

“Whatever they decide to do, that’s fine,” she said.

Clinton was ruled the winner of the caucuses by a slim margin of less than half a percentage point.
