Poll: Sanders within 3 of Clinton nationally
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has nearly caught up with rival Hillary Clinton, according to a Reuters/Ipsos national poll released Friday afternoon.
Clinton leads by just 3 points, well within the poll’s margin of error. The former secretary of State gets 48 percent support compared to Sanders’s 45 percent.
{mosads}The findings mirror the results of Monday’s Iowa Democratic caucus, which Clinton won by less than one percentage point.
Sanders still has a comfortable lead in New Hampshire, just four days away from the state’s primary.
The poll was conducted from Feb. 2 to 5, shortly after the Iowa caucuses. It surveyed 512 people and has a margin of error of 5 percent.
