WATCH: Trump surrogate to Romney: ‘Thank you’
Mitt Romney’s speech attacking Donald Trump will only help the businessman’s presidential run, according to a surrogate for the Trump campaign.
“Thank you, thank you Governor Romney,” Scottie Hughes said in an interview with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper.
“Governor Romney represents everything that is making people like Mr. Trump and Sen. Cruz rise to power,” Hughes added. “[Romney] represents … this bureaucratic wall-building that Mr. Trump is set against.”
