Report: Trump adds $6.9M of personal funds to campaign in February

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump gave his campaign another $6.9 million of his personal money in February, The Washington Post reported.

That brings his total personal campaign contributions — lent or given — up to about $25 million, according to the Post.

{mosads}The front-runner received $2 million from supporters in February and has received about $9.5 million from supporters in all. Trump often touts during campaign rallies that he is self-funding his campaign.

In February, Trump reportedly increased the amount of money he put into is campaign after several primary wins. 

During the month, the front-runner spent about $9.5 million, with $3.46 million going toward media buys, the Post reported.

He spent less than rival Ted Cruz, who used $17.5 million in February. Cruz raised $11.9 million that month and went into March with $8 million in the bank.
