Clinton, Sanders celebrate news that Tubman will appear on $20 bill
Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders celebrated the news Wednesday that Harriet Tubman will be featured on the $20 bill.
“A woman, a leader, and a freedom fighter,” Clinton tweeted. “I can’t think of a better choice for the $20 bill than Harriet Tubman.”

Sanders also responded to the announcement on Twitter, writing: “I cannot think of an American hero more deserving of this honor than Harriet Tubman.”

{mosads}Treasury Secretary Jack Lew announced Wednesday that the image of President Andrew Jackson will be moved to the back of the $20 bill, with Tubman replacing him on the front.
Lew also announced that Alexander Hamilton will remain on the front of the $10 bill and that leaders of the women’s suffrage movement will appear on the back.
