Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump early Wednesday defended comments that the only thing his Democratic counterpart, Hillary Clinton, has “got going is the woman’s card.”

{mosads}“She is a woman, she is playing the woman card left and right,” Trump said on CNN’s “New Day.”

“She’s playing it much harder this time and she will be called on it,” he said.

“If she didn’t, she would be doing poorly,” he added.

Trump touted decisive wins in five Atlantic states in Tuesday’s “Acela primaries.”

“I won five states. I won them very conclusively. Everyone’s saying that,” Trump said.

“We won tremendous victories, even larger than anticipated,” he added

“We also signed a lot of delegates … others are to come.”

Trump rejected criticism from rival Ted Cruz that he can’t reach the required 1,237 delegates to secure the nomination before this summer’s Republican National Convention, can’t beat Clinton and can’t unify the GOP.

“Lyin’ Ted has been saying this for a long time,” he said. “Lyin’ Ted is Lyin’ Ted. He’s one of a kind … but ultimately he’s not successful.”

Trump predicted his campaign will do “great” in California and said former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight will endorse him at an event later Wednesday in the Hoosier State.

The billionaire businessman is scheduled to deliver a speech later Wednesday that he said will focus on the economics of foreign policy.

“It’s one of my strengths,” Trump said.

“I’ve called a lot of correct economic policy — I don’t get credit for it.”

Trump also said that President Obama should not have disclosed his decision to send additional special operations forces to Syria to help in the battle against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

“I don’t agree with telling it to the world,” he said. “I can live with it. “

“From my standpoint, I just find it very, very hard … we announce it for publicity reasons.”
