Trump: People loved my taco tweet

Donald Trump defended his Cinco de Mayo tweet on Friday, saying that the picture of him eating a taco bowl was really popular.

“And you know what? I’m gonna do great with the Hispanics,” he added, saying he plans on bringing more jobs back to the U.S.

On Thursday, Trump tweeted a picture of himself eating a taco bowl along with a caption that read, “Happy Cinco de Mayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!” The post was widely mocked on social media.

A recent Gallup poll shows that 77 percent of Hispanics have an unfavorable view of the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, while just 12 percent have a favorable view.
