In Beverly Hills, Hillary warns of ‘apocalyptic consequences’ with Trump win
Hillary Clinton warned a Hollywood crowd at a Beverly Hills fundraiser Monday night that a Donald Trump presidency would have “apocalyptic consequences,” according to attendees at the event.
{mosads}The Democratic presidential front-runner told the gathering, co-hosted by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) managing partner Bryan Lourd and Vogue editor Anna Wintour, that while she’s “not listening” to Trump, she’s taking his supporters “very seriously.”
She also mocked the presumptive Republican presidential front-runner for declaring bankruptcy multiple times, according to one entertainment industry attendee.
“She joked: ‘How do you lose money in the casino business?’ ” said the attendee, who added: “She was great. She’s so much better in person. So personable and real.”
Clinton spoke for about 20 minutes at the home of super-agent Lourd and his partner, Bruce Bozzi. In his introduction of Clinton, Lourd talked about Clinton’s “competency and experience.”
About 100 people attended the event, including actor Darren Criss, chef Wolfgang Puck and California gubernatorial hopeful Gavin Newsom.
Clinton is expected to return to Los Angeles for a concert fundraiser at the Greek Theater on June 6 — the eve of the California primary. So far, the musical lineup includes Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Ricky Martin and Stevie Wonder, insiders say. That event is being co-hosted by CAA agent and top Clinton bundler Darnell Strom.
