Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (D), a superdelegate who will back front-runner Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination, said Sunday she is unfairly criticized because of her gender.

{mosads}”If she were a man, all this stuff wouldn’t be at the same level. There’s an awful lot of criticism … over things that really aren’t that — I guess a man, it wouldn’t be brought up like that,” Hickenlooper said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

“She’s probably the most prepared person to run for high political office in this country in several decades,” he added.

He was responding to questions from host John Dickerson about Clinton’s email server controversy, which entails her use of a personal email server while serving as secretary of State, and whether superdelegates would take that into consideration while voting at the Democratic National Convention in July.

“She said she made a mistake. Let’s move on,” Hickenlooper said.
