Actress Gabrielle Carteris joins AFL-CIO
The AFL-CIO is adding actress Gabrielle Carteris to its executive council.
Carteris, famous for her role in the 1990s television series “Beverly Hills, 90210,” is the head of the actor’s union.
She was elected president of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) earlier this year.
“Gabrielle is a long-time union activist who is not afraid to stand up and fight for what’s best for her fellow actors,” AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said in a statement. “I am proud to welcome her to the executive council, and look forward to working with her to make the lives of all working people better.”
Carteris has also appeared in “Code Black,” “Criminal Minds,” “NYPD Blue,” “JAG,” “King of the Hill,” “Touched by an Angel,” and “The Middle.”
