Ryan transfers $2.7M to House GOP campaign group
Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) transferred about $2.7 million to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) in August, Politico reported Thursday.
{mosads}Ryan’s total fundraising haul for the NRCC is nearly $30 million — a record for a sitting Speaker.
Former Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) raised $12.6 million for the group in the 2014 cycle and $20.9 million in the 2012 cycle.
Still, the NRCC is lagging behind its Democratic counterpart, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).
In the month of July, the DCCC raised nearly $12 million, almost tripling the NRCC’s $4.6 million.
