GOP lawmaker: White House race shouldn’t affect Clinton probe
A GOP lawmaker says the House Oversight Committee should continue to pursue Hillary Clinton’s emails regardless of the White House race’s outcome.
“If we were only pursuing it because she was running for president, then the motive behind that would be wrong just as much on our part,” Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said in an interview with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is set to hold a hearing next Monday on the FBI’s report about how Clinton handled classified material on the private email setup she used when she was secretary of State.
