Trump aide blasts GOP: ‘Enough pussyfooting around’

Donald Trump’s campaign manager says Republicans on the fence about the GOP presidential nominee should stop “pussyfooting around.”

{mosads}“We want the support of anybody who’s going to publicly endorse us, but enough of the pussyfooting around in terms of do you support us or do you not support us,” Kellyanne Conway said Wednesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Conway’s word choice drew attention just days after many Republicans backed off their support for Trump in the wake of the release of a tape from 2005 showing Trump discussing grabbing women “by the p—y.”

She demurred when asked whether Trump would support Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) retaining his position if Trump is elected.

“That’s up to the members of the Congress,” Conway said. “I hope it means we have a majority in the House, the Senate and the presidency, because that would actually be the best indication that Americans who are voting for Donald Trump for president also want a mandate for him to push through different pieces of legislation.”

During a Fox News interview Tuesday night, Trump had lashed out at Ryan, indicating he wouldn’t necessarily back him retaining the Speakership.
