Trump: ‘I have no interest in Trump TV’

Donald Trump is denying rumors that he plans to launch his own television network after his White House run.

“No, I have no interest in Trump TV,” the Republican presidential nominee told host Scott Sloan on 700WLW Radio in Cincinnati on Tuesday, as first reported by CNN Money.

“I hear it all over the place,” Trump added. “I have a tremendous fan base. We have a tremendous base; we have the most incredible people, but I just don’t have any interest in that.”

“I have one interest, that’s on Nov. 8,” he said. “So, no, I have no interest beyond that. I have interest in making America great again.”

Trump’s campaign began broadcasting a nightly program on Facebook Live late Monday that will run through Election Day, stoking speculation that the billionaire — who has put his name on everything from steaks to an airline — will seek to launch his own network should he fail against Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Trump campaign CEO Steve Bannon did not rule out the possibility of such a media venture during an interview last week.

Monday’s debut Facebook episode featured interviews with Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and senior communications adviser Jason Miller. At one point, more than 60,000 viewers were watching it live.

But Trump says his priority at the moment is early voting.

“We’re leading in a lot of the important states,” he said Tuesday. “It looks like we’re doing really well in Florida. … Iowa’s unbelievable. Ohio, we’re leading in Ohio, as you know.”
