Huma Abedin says she’s ‘sad’ in first public remarks since FBI letter
Top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin on Friday said that she was “sad” in her first public remarks since the FBI announced that it was revisiting its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server.
{mosads}When asked how she was doing by reporters who spotted her in Union Station in Washington, D.C., Abedin simply said that she was “sad,” Inside Edition reported.
The FBI announced last week that it would be reviewing newly discovered emails that may relate to Clinton’s email server. It was later reported that the documents were found on the computer of Abedin’s estranged husband, former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.), who is being investigated by the FBI for allegedly sending sexual messages to a minor.
When reporters asked Abedin to comment on whether Weiner’s actions can damage the Clinton campaign, she did not answer.
On Thursday, Abedin was scheduled to fundraise for Clinton at a private fashion event featuring Vogue magazine editor Anna Wintour and fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg.
