Donald Trump Jr. retweets ‘assassination attempt’ against father
Donald Trump Jr. and a top Donald Trump aide late Saturday retweeted a claim that the Republican presidential nominee had survived an “assassination attempt” at a campaign rally in Reno, Nev.
{mosads}Secret Service agents rushed Trump off the stage after what was described as a “commotion.” The agency said someone in the crowd shouted “gun,” but no weapon was found.
Shortly after the event, Trump’s oldest son and Dan Scavino Jr., the campaign’s social media director and a senior campaign adviser, retweeted a supporter who wrote that “[Democratic nominee] Hillary [Clinton] ran away from rain today. Trump is back on stage minutes after assassination attempt.”

Heavy rain earlier in the day shortened a Clinton rally in Florida.
Donald Trump Jr. later thanked the Secret Service for the agents’ “never ending vigilance protecting my father.”
Thank you to the Secrete Service for their never ending vigilance protecting my father. As I’m sure you know our whole family is grateful!
