Donald Trump’s campaign manager said Sunday that the protester who interrupted a Nevada rally on Saturday night “canvassed for Hillary Clinton” and “donated to her campaign.”

“This is a Democratic plant or operative trying to disrupt our rally,” Kellyanne Conway told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”

{mosads}During a rally in Reno, Nev., Saturday night, Secret Service agents rushed Trump off the stage after the GOP presidential nominee pointed to a protester in the crowd.

Original reports said a crowd member shouted “gun,” but Secret Service later said it did not find a weapon.

Tapper asked Conway why Trump adviser Dan Scavino Jr. retweeted “misinformation” and called the incident an “assassination attempt.”

“Well, I’m glad you’re happy that everybody’s OK. That’s really the main focus here,” said Conway.

“I’m glad nobody was hurt, but it does remind you that, in these closing days, especially as the polls tighten, many of us are getting more death threats, getting more angry messages on social media elsewhere,” she said.

“You know it’s a pretty fraught environment there,” Conway added.
