Al Gore to campaign for Clinton in Colorado
Former Vice President Al Gore will campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in the final days before Election Day.
{mosads}Gore, who served under President Bill Clinton, will campaign in Colorado on Monday to discuss climate change.
“Hillary Clinton knows that climate change is real and has an ambitious plan to fight it. In contrast, [Republican nominee] Donald Trump refuses to acknowledge climate change’s existence, saying it’s a hoax created by the Chinese,” the campaign said in a statement.
“Gore will discuss Clinton’s plan to reduce carbon emissions, make America the clean energy superpower of the 21st century, create millions of good-paying jobs, and leave our children and grandchildren a safe, healthy planet.”
Gore joined Clinton on the campaign trail for the first time last month.
The relationship between Gore and the Clintons has been strained since 2000, when Gore kept then-President Bill Clinton at a distance during his own presidential bid, despite the president’s high approval ratings.
