Ohio Dems file emergency plea over voter intimidation
The Ohio Democratic Party filed an emergency application to the Supreme Court Sunday night, asking the justices to restore an injunction barring Donald Trump’s campaign from taking action that could intimidate voters, Politico reports.
{mosads}The plea asks the court to reimpose a restraining order that a federal appeals court lifted earlier in the day.
Ohio Democrats sued the GOP nominee’s campaign, the Ohio Republican Party, and Trump ally Roger Stone and his group Stop the Steal over plans to uncover voter fraud at the polls
District Court Judge James Gwin imposed an order Friday that prohibited activity at polling places such as following or photographing voters or talking about the penalties for voter fraud.
Trump’s campaign appealed and a three judge panel lifted the injection on Sunday morning.
