CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Sunday suggested that Donald Trump had been irresponsible by speculating about the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of State.

“Is it responsible for someone who might be president of the United States to be, in your words, ‘speculating’ about an active investigation when he has no actual facts?” Cooper asked Kellyanne Conway, the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign manager, in an interview

{mosads}Conway tried to steer the conversation away, but Cooper pushed back.

“Right, you are not answering the question, though,” he said.

“Is it irresponsible for a man who might be president of the United States to speculate about something about which he has no facts?”

“Everybody on CNN speculated 24/7,” Conway replied.

“If everybody jumped off a bridge it doesn’t mean you should jump off a bridge, too. … Again, I am just trying to ask,” Cooper said. “Don’t you think it’s irresponsible?”

“No,” Conway replied, “I don’t think it’s irresponsible.”

FBI Director James Comey announced Sunday that the FBI stood by its July conclusion that it would not recommend charges against Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, following a review of the emails.
