NJ rep votes for Trump after rescinding endorsement
Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-N.J.) voted for Donald Trump on Tuesday — a month after withdrawing his endorsement of the GOP presidential nominee.
{mosads}”He did vote for him. He decided yesterday he would vote for him,” LoBiondo spokesman Jason Galanes told Philly.com.
LoBiondo withdrew his support of Trump in early October after The Washington Post unearthed a 2005 video of the GOP nominee making vulgar comments about groping women.
At the time, LoBiondo said he would write in Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, for president.
But in the end, the lawmaker decided to support his party’s nominee.
“His disappointment and anger over Trump’s words stands, but [Democratic nominee Hillary] Clinton is 100 percent unacceptable to be president,” Galanes said.
