WATCH: GOP wanted Pelosi as leader, Dem rep says

House Republicans were rooting for Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in the race to keep her leadership position.

“I talked to some of my Republican friends and they were saying we want you to reelect Pelosi again because she’s one we can raise money off … one that brings out emotions,” Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) said in an interview with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper.

{mosads}Cuellar made the remark shortly after his caucus reelected Pelosi as leader on Wednesday in a vote of 134-63 over Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio).
