Sotomayor’s Tuesday schedule on Capitol Hill

Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor will meet with the following senators on Tuesday, the White House announced Monday afternoon.

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.)
Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)
Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.)
Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.)
Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-Ill.)
Assistant Republican Leader Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.)
Senator Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.)
Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah)
Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.)
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.)

Aside from the leadership positions (leaders and whips), looks like Sotomayor will meet with members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Leahy and Sessions are the chairman and ranking member of that panel, respectively, and Schumer, Hatch and Feinstein also sit on it.

Gillibrand is not on that committee, but was an early advocate for Sotomayor and is her other home state senator. Gillibrand has also taken some credit for Sotomayor’s nomination.
