Tweets of the weekend: Claire McCaskill, college hipster?

It’d be easy to mistake Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) as a 20-something collegiate hipster, judging by her Twitter feed this weekend.

According to the senator, her weekend has been filled with graduation speeches, watching the basketball tournament, and building playlists.

“I need to listen to more music,” McCaskill tweeted Sunday morning. “After I work on my college graduation speeches this afternoon, I’m going to work on my playlists.”

McCaskill later cited a broad variety of preferences for her musical selection: Frank Sinatra, classic folk, a lot of jazz, some opera, Motown, bluegrass, and doo-wop.

But after she’s done her work, McCaskill will make some time, like many other Americans, for the basketball tournament.

“And of course Tiger basketball at 4,” she said. “I would like us to have a fast start. These wear em down and win at the end games are gonna kill me.”
