Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi (R) warned would-be price gougers ahead of Hurricane Irma on Saturday, saying she would say their name “all over” the U.S. if they did not stop.

“It should be criminal, it’s not. But I will go after you. We will fine you a thousand dollars every violation, up to $25,000 every single day, and I will be saying your name all over this country not to do business with you again,” Bondi told CNN’s Michael Smerconish.

“I have zero tolerance. If you are a bad business going after our citizens, we’re going to go after you with everything we’ve got,” she said.

There have been 8,050 price gouging complaints as of Saturday, according to the attorney general.

Bondi said the state had been dealing with various stores in the state that were inflating the prices of water.

The attorney general’s comments come as the state braces for the Category 3 storm, which is expected to hit the Florida Keys early on Sunday, before moving up the southwestern coast.

Florida’s Division of Emergency Management has sent mandatory and voluntary evacuation orders to 6.3 million people, according to The Associated Press.

Gov. Rick Scott (R) called the storm “the most catastrophic storm” to ever hit the state.
