President Trump on Tuesday reassured Puerto Rico as the U.S. territory braces for a potentially devastating Category 5 hurricane.

“Puerto Rico being hit hard by new monster Hurricane. Be careful, our hearts are with you-will be there to help!” Trump tweeted.

Many of Puerto Rico’s 3.4 million residents live on the eastern part of the island, which observers fear will be especially hard-hit by Hurricane Maria, according to CNN.

{mosads}The latest storm comes not long after Puerto Rico suffered damage caused by Hurricane Irma, which grazed parts of the island.

The National Hurricane Center has described Maria as “potentially catastrophic,” predicting it could cause “life-threatening flash floods and mudslides,” The New York Times reported.

Trump, along with his administration, received praise for his response to recent hurricanes in Texas and Florida.
