Gregg: Stimulus Package Causing ‘Frenzy’ of Earmarks
Next year’s anticipated stimulus package, expected to total in the hundreds of billions of dollars, is the “world’s largest feeding frenzy of earmarks,” Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.) said Monday.
“What we’re seeing unfortunately is the world’s largest feeding frenzy for earmarks going on right now,” Gregg said, reported by Politicker. “I mean here we’ve just gone through an election where everyone’s demonizing earmarks and yet every community in New Hampshire appears to be pulling out their wish list from swing sets to running tracks. And it’s happening throughout the country.”
