President Trump early Wednesday morning touted the passage of the GOP tax bill in the Senate, calling it the largest such bill “in history” and celebrating its repeal of the ObamaCare individual mandate.

“The United States Senate just passed the biggest in history Tax Cut and Reform Bill,” Trump tweeted. “Terrible Individual Mandate (ObamaCare)Repealed. Goes to the House tomorrow morning for final vote. If approved, there will be a News Conference at The White House at approximately 1:00 P.M.”

The Senate passed the Republicans’ tax-reform bill by a 51-48 vote, hours after the House passed the bill.

However, the House will have to vote again on the bill on Wednesday after the Senate parliamentarian found three provisions in it to be in violation of budget rules Republicans were using to prevent a Democratic filibuster.

In addition to lowering the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent, and opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge up to oil drilling, the bill also repeals ObamaCare’s individual mandate.

Trump has frequently called for the mandate to be repealed. In November, he said the GOP should include the repeal in its final tax bill.
