Obama Protestors Demonstrate Outside High Court

A small group of people skeptical over whether President-elect Barack Obama is eligible for the presidency protested outside the Supreme Court on Friday.

About 20 people showed up on the courthouse steps, reports Dave Weigel at DCist. They want the court to consider a lawsuit arguing that Obama is a dual citizen and is thus ineliglble to take the oath of office to become president.

Roger Bredow, who organized the protest through a YouTube video, said that if the court declines to take the case, he will file another suit arguing that Obama’s campaign is illegal because it took foreign donations.

Pundits across the blogosphere, including Obama foes Michelle Malkin and Ed Morrissey, have dismissed the challenge. Malkin likened its backers to the conspiracy theorists who questioned whether Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) was really the mother of her youngest son.
