President Trump kept up his attack on Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) at a National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) event on Tuesday night, calling her a “low IQ individual.”

“The Democrats think they’re invincible. I mean, I watch this Maxine Waters, you ever see Maxine Waters?” Trump said.

“A low IQ individual. Low IQ. ‘We will impeach him. We will impeach him.’ ‘But he hasn’t done anything wrong.’ ‘It doesn’t matter, we will impeach him,'” he continued.

“This is what we’re going to have. This is what we’re going to have to fight against. It’s easy to just keep going good. We’re going to keep the economy strong. The truth is, the Democrats never have been more vulnerable because they’ve lost touch with normal, everyday working people,” he continued.

“Democrats haven’t learned. They still think the loyal citizens who care about jobs and borders and security are deplorable,” he said, referencing his former political opponent Hillary Clinton’s attack on him in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump’s comments prompted a mixture of laughter, cheers and some boos from the audience.

Waters, who has been one of the most vocal critics of the president in the House, hit back against Trump earlier this month after he first called her a “low IQ individual.”

Critics said the president’s remarks against Waters were racially charged. The California Democrat responded to Trump’s attack by referring to the president as “con man Don.”

Trump’s comments Tuesday came days after his former national security adviser Michael Flynn endorsed GOP candidate Omar Navarro, who is running against Waters.

“Ms. Waters has been in office for Omar’s entire life,” Flynn said last week in California, his first public appearance since pleading guilty in December to lying to investigators and announcing he would cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team.

Waters slammed the endorsement, citing Flynn’s indictment in the special counsel probe into alleged ties between Trump campaign associates and Russia amid Moscow’s election interference.
