President Trump early Wednesday congratulated law enforcement officers after the suspect in a string of fatal bombings in Texas apparently blew himself up as a SWAT team approached his location.

The president thanked authorities for a “great job” after announcing the suspect’s death in all caps.

“AUSTIN BOMBING SUSPECT IS DEAD. Great job by law enforcement and all concerned!” he tweeted.

{mosads}His tweet came minutes after reports that the suspect, a 24-year-old white male whose name was not released, died after a device detonated in his vehicle after SWAT team members surrounded the car.

Some officers reportedly sustained minor injuries in the blast, which occurred around 2 a.m. near Round Rock, Texas, where law enforcement officials had tracked the suspect to a hotel.

“The suspect is deceased and has significant injuries from a blast that occurred from detonating a bomb inside his vehicle,” Austin Police chief Brian Manley told reporters at a news conference.

At least four other explosions have been linked to the case, which has drawn hundreds of FBI agents to the state.
