DC councilman who made anti-Semitic remark ‘done apologizing’
Washington, D.C., Councilman Trayon White (D-Ward 8) says he’s “done apologizing” for his beliefs after making anti-Semitic statements and leaving a tour of the Holocaust Museum early.
In the video posted Saturday, White called reports that he had left a tour of the museum early a “lie.” Reporters following White during the tour noted his disappearance before finding him outside waiting for a car.
“It’s definitely been a learning experience for me, but I’ve said my apologies, and I’m done with that.” White said in the video. “I’m done apologizing about that. I was sincere.”

“I stayed the whole time. I voluntarily went and I took my staff. And I told them ‘No cameras, no media’ because I’m not doing it for that,” he added in the 36-minute video. “If people don’t think I’m sincere, that’s on them.”
White has in the past claimed that powerful Jewish people such as the Rothschild family “control the climate.”
“Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man. Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation,” White said during a video. “And D.C. keep talking about, ‘We a resilient city.’ And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”
White initially apologized for those remarks and agreed to meet with local Jewish leaders.
The Washington Post documented White’s unusual visit to the museum, after which White said the tour provided him a chance to meet many “great Jews.”
“This opportunity has given me the chance to meet a lot of great Jews, a lot of people. A lot of good Jews that I’ve never had the chance to meet before,” White said. “It’s an awesome experience.”
