More than 20 new women accuse Charlie Rose of sexual misconduct: report

Twenty-seven women told The Washington Post in a new investigation that they were sexually harassed by television journalist Charlie Rose. 

Rose — who was fired from his PBS show and “CBS This Morning” late last year after eight women came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct — denied the new allegations in a statement to the Post, calling their reporting “unfair and inaccurate.”  

The women, 14 of whom were employees at CBS News, leveled allegations dating back to 1976. {mosads}

Rose, who co-hosted “CBS This Morning,” has been accused of making unwanted sexual advances ranging from making lewd suggestions during phone calls to walking naked in front of female employees to groping their breasts or genital areas, according to the report. 

Sophie Gayter, a former “60 Minutes” employee, told The Post she was groped by Rose in 2013 as they walked down an office hallway. 

“I had been there long enough to know that it was just the way things went,” she said at the time, according to the Post.

The Post also reports that CBS managers were warned multiple times of Rose’s conduct with women at the network. His behavior was reportedly flagged to managers back in 1986 and as recently as April 2017.

Rose is set to star in a series where he interviews other men who have faced sexual harassment scandals.

The show is being seen by some as a comeback attempt for some of the men who have been toppled by the “Me Too” movement.
