Trump Jr. mocks Schneiderman after reports he abused women
Donald Trump Jr. on Monday mocked New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D) following a report that Schneiderman physically abused women.
The New Yorker published a report on Monday in which four women said Schneiderman hit them. Two said he often did so after drinking and in bed, without their permission, and another said Schneiderman slapped her across the face when she rebuffed his advances.
In a series of tweets, Trump Jr. appeared to revel in the report, digging up old tweets from Schneiderman that condemned sexual harassers and President Trump.
“Self awareness level: 0. Or substantially less than that,” Trump Jr. tweeted in reference to a Schneiderman tweet praising The New Yorker and The New York Times for their Pulitzer Prize-winning reporting on allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein.

In another instance, Trump Jr. quoted a 2013 tweet from his father in which the president suggested Schneiderman was “a crook” and “worse” than disgraced New York politicians Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner.

More than a dozen women have accused President Trump of sexual misconduct, levying allegations that he groped and kissed them without consent. The president has denied the claims.
{mosads}The president also faced backlash during the 2016 election when the 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape was published, in which Trump bragged about grabbing and kissing women without their consent.
The New York attorney general has been among the fiercest opponents of Trump and his administration, filing dozens of lawsuits in the last year.
Among the legal challenges Schneiderman has brought are lawsuits over the addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 census, the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and against Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency over pollution standards.
Schneiderman also sued Trump over his failed Trump University and helped win a $25 million settlement for its former students.
