Vicente Fox sounds off on Trump: ‘Get your s— together’

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox, a frequent critic of President Trump, slammed him on Twitter Thursday after he condemned gang members in the U.S. illegally as “animals.”

“You’ve got to get your shit together,” Fox tweeted at Trump.

“Migrants are people who have left everything behind — not by choice, to pursue a better life,” Fox continued. “You must show compassion and humanity. Your golden head and a #F—ingWall won’t stop these people’s dreams and hopes.”

Fox’s remarks appeared to be a response to the president’s comments during a roundtable discussion with California sheriffs on Wednesday.

“We have people coming into the country — or trying to come in, we’re stopping a lot of them, but we’re taking people out of the country. You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are,” Trump said to California officials who oppose the state’s “sanctuary city” laws.

“These aren’t people. These are animals, and we’re taking them out of the country at a rate that’s never happened before,” Trump added.

Trump was responding to Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims, who expressed frustration over how the state’s sanctuary city laws have limited the ability of local law enforcement officials to enforce federal immigration laws, specifically in regards to the MS-13 gang.

Fox has been an outspoken critic of the president.

He has repeatedly hit Trump over his campaign promise to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall and force Mexico to pay for it. Fox even promoted a T-shirt depicting Trump as baby building a wall from toy bricks on Twitter back in April.

The clothing’s caption read: “Can’t Build A Wall If Your Hands Are Too Small.”
