Tomi Lahren rips lawyer who threatened Spanish-speakers: ‘It’s rude’

Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren took aim at Aaron Schlossberg, the New York lawyer caught on video harassing workers for speaking Spanish, in an interview with TMZ on Thursday.

In an interview as Lahren was walking through Los Angeles’s LAX airport, Lahren said she would “never do” to a person what Schlossberg is seeing yelling in the video.

Schlossberg became the subject of national criticism this week after he was videotaped yelling at a store employee and a customer for speaking to each other in Spanish. In the video, he threatens to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to report them.

“It’s ridiculous,” she said. “You don’t treat people like that — it’s rude.”

“I think you can have a conversation about policy. I think you can believe in assimilation, as I do,” she continued. “And merit-based immigration. But you treat people with respect.”

“I would never do that, it’s ridiculous,” she added. “I treat people with respect.”

Lahren is known for her stance against illegal immigration, and is a vocal supporter of the Trump administration’s tougher stances against immigrants who are in the country without legal status.

The controversial pundit responded on Fox News this week after a genealogist claimed that Lahren’s family arrived in the U.S. from Norway and Germany not speaking English, despite Lahren’s complaints about immigrants “not understanding the language” in the past.

“What she was trying to do was call me a hypocrite for believing in merit-based immigration. Again, she failed miserably,” Lahren said in response.
