Trump touts WSJ editorial: Where was Obama?
President Trump on Monday touted a Wall Street Journal editorial asking where former President Obama has been amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the Trump presidency and the special counsel’s probe into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
“The Wall Street Journal asks, ‘WHERE IN THE WORLD WAS BARACK OBAMA?’ A very good question!” the president wrote on Twitter.

Trump was referring to an op-ed published in The Wall Street Journal on May 18 by James Freeman.
Freeman refers to Trump’s tweet last week, in which the president claimed there was an FBI informant within his campaign.
Subsequent reporting suggests the FBI had an informant who met with three different Trump campaign officials, though there is no evidence someone was embedded in the Trump campaign.
Freeman argued Obama should provide details about his time leading the Department of Justice and FBI during the 2016 presidential race.
