George HW Bush shares photo with ‘great friend’ Bill Clinton

Former President George H.W. Bush shared a photo of him and former President Bill Clinton hanging out on Monday. 

“Special visit today with a great friend — and now, a best-selling author. Luckily I had a freshly laundered pair of @BillClinton socks to mark the occasion,” Bush tweeted.

Clinton tweeted an equally friendly response, saying it’s always one of his “favorite times of the year” when he visits his fellow ex-president.

{mosads}Clinton is currently on a book tour to promote “The President is Missing,” which he co-wrote with best-selling author James Patterson. 
 

Bush has dealt with multiple health complications this year and has visited the hospital on more than one occasion following the April death of his wife, Barbara Bush. He was released in early May after a nearly two-week stay due to an infection.
