Avenatti joins London protests, slams Trump on BBC: ‘Millions of Americans are outraged by his conduct’

Michael Avenatti, the outspoken attorney for adult-film star Stormy Daniels, flew to London to take part in the protests against President Trump on Friday.

Avenatti told the BBC in a television interview that “millions of Americans are outraged by his conduct and by his behavior,” stating he was participating in the London protest to “make America America again.”

The lawyer’s comments come days after he spoke openly about a possible 2020 presidential run in several cable news interviews last week.

“I think its important to send a message to our brothers and sisters here in the U.K. and around the world that not all Americans support this president,” Avenatti told the BBC while marching toward London’s Parliament Square.

“There’s millions of Americans who are outraged by his conduct and by his behavior most recently as it relates to a potential rollback of reproductive rights and separating mothers from their children on our southern border. And I’m here to send a loud and clear message that there are millions of Americans that want to make America America again.”

Avenatti, a staunch critic of the president, has appeared on cable news, particularly CNN and MSNBC, hundreds of times over the past four months.

The lawyer primarily has used the abundance of cable news interviews to discuss his client’s case against President Trump. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, is suing to void a nondisclosure agreement she signed with the president’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, over a deal involving a payment meant to keep her quiet about an alleged affair with Trump in 2006.

Avenatti has also used the platform to come out against the president for issues like his administration’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy. Most recently, the lawyer has shifted to mulling a possible presidential bid.
