President Trump on Thursday mocked former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman after she released a secret recording that she said revealed a proposed hush-money agreement offered after her firing from the White House.

The president retweeted a Republican National Committee (RNC) video featuring a series of old television clips of Manigault Newman heaping praise on Trump. “Guess she forgot about these tapes,” the RNC tweeted.

The president added his own message, too: “Thank you for the kind words Omarosa!”

{mosads}Trump’s latest barb against Manigault Newman came hours after she unveiled the recording during an afternoon interview on MSNBC.

Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law who advises his reelection campaign, can be heard offering Manigault Newman $15,000 per month for a position on the Trump 2020 campaign.

Trump also tells Manigault Newman if she decides to join the campaign, she needs to keep “everything, everybody positive,” a remark the former White House aide said proves it was a hush-money offer.

Manigault Newman said the offer came after she was fired from the White Hose in December 2017 and that Trump told her the offer came from the president.

Trump issued a statement blasting Manigault Newman, but did not deny the offer was made.

“I am absolutely shocked and saddened by her betrayal and violation on a deeply personal level,” Trump said. “I hope it’s all worth it for you, Omarosa, because some things you just can’t put a price on.”

During her appearance on MSNBC, Manigault Newman sought to push back against the notion she is betraying President Trump and his family. She accused the RNC of attacking her out of racial animus.

“I’m one of the few African-Americans in his orbit. Yeah, they would put their greatest hits together and that would compile about .0 percent of the diversity they have at the RNC and in the Trump administration,” she said when asked about the video.

Manigault Newman also suggested she plans to release more recordings.

“So, if that’s the best that they have, I’ll just say this to to them: I am not going anywhere. I’m not going to be bullied. I’m not intimidated. And I’m going to go toe-to-toe with him. Everything he throws at me. Believe me, my tapes are much better than theirs,” she said.
