Vandal drew swastikas, ‘Nazi Pigs’ on NY ambulances

A man reportedly drew swastikas and words “Nazi Pigs” on the side of five New York City ambulances over the weekend.

The New York Police Department says that a man was seen around 7:20 a.m. on Sunday near the ambulances, which were parked at a station on 172nd Street, ABC 7 News reported Monday. 

The New York Fire Department later released a picture of the vandal, asking the public for help identifying him.

The incident is the latest example of anti-Semitic messages or Nazi imagery being used in vandalism.

{mosads}A large swastika was spray-painted on a sidewalk in Colorado Springs, Colo., last week, as white nationalist group known as Identity Evropa has increased its recruitment.

An Ohio woman was arrested in July for spray-painting a racial slur, “Hail Trump” and a swastika on the front of her neighbor’s home.  

An Indiana synagogue was vandalized with spray-painted images of a large Nazi flag and Nazi Iron Crosses last month.

More than 200 headstones were spray-paint with swastikas during Memorial Day weekend at a cemetery in Illinois — which houses the graves of more than 1,300 veterans.

A recent report from the Anti-Defamation League found that, in 2017, anti-Semitic incidents in the U.S., including harassment, vandalism and assault, increased by 57 percent from the previous year.
