Kamala Harris to campaign for first time in South Carolina
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) will campaign in South Carolina for the first time next week amid rumors of a potential 2020 presidential bid.
Harris, who was first elected to the Senate in 2016, will be stumping for Democratic candidates in Columbia and Greenville, her office said on Wednesday.

Politico first reported on Harris’s plans to campaign in South Carolina.
Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), another potential 2020 contender, is slated to headline a Democratic fundraiser in South Carolina on Oct. 18.
Harris has raised more than $5 million this year for party candidates.
In addition to Booker, other potential White House hopefuls include Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Vice President Joe Biden.
