Kushner and brother buying upscale Manhattan hotel: report

Senior White House adviser Jared Kushner and his brother have reportedly purchased a 20-story high-rise hotel on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

The Kushners are expanding their real estate holdings, according to the New York Post, and recently purchased two properties on the Jersey Shore.

The Hotel on Rivington in Manhattan includes a rooftop penthouse and several party spaces, the Post noted.

{mosads}Jared and Joshua Kushner, along with their family, own and operate Kushner Companies. Jared Kushner resigned as head of the company when he joined President Trump’s administration in 2016, but continues to hold a stake in the firm.

The Post reported that the purchase of the swanky New York hotel was mostly Joshua Kushner’s decision. He has recently become more involved with real estate while his brother serves as an adviser to his father-in-law.

A spokeswoman for Kushner Companies confirmed to the Post that the company has contracted to buy the Hotel on Rivington, which opened in 2005.
