Television news personality Lara Logan says she’s planning to release a short documentary series this week focusing on the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

The series, dubbed “The Rest of The Story,” purports to tell an alternative view of the rioting at the Capitol that day carried out by supporters of former President Trump.

The project will be published on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, under the account “Truth in Media,” which as of Tuesday had fewer than 6,000 followers.

“I realized I’ve got to do it independently, where it cannot be taken down, it cannot be censored, it cannot be silenced,” Logan said of the project.

Since the insurrection, a number of conservative commentators and right-wing pundits have attempted to downplay the events or suggest, without evidence, it was orchestrated by the federal government.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson last year published a short series of his own called “Patriot Purge” that painted the events of Jan. 6 as overblown.

Carlson has since started a new video show on X, which is owned by billionaire Elon Musk, after Fox fired him in April.

Logan, who worked for years as a correspondent for CBS News before entering the conservative media space, most recently was a contributor at Newsmax, which cut ties with her in October after she suggested there was a global conspiracy among world leaders to harm children.
