Trump Jr.: You’ll be shot in ‘about two seconds’ wearing a MAGA hat in downtown Chicago

Donald Trump Jr. said early Monday that someone wearing a “MAGA” hat in downtown Chicago would be shot in “about two seconds.”

“Man, I am really shocked that people in downtown Chicago on the coldest night of the year weren’t actually there wearing MAGA hats,” Trump Jr. said sarcastically during a discussion of the Jussie Smollett case on “Fox & Friends.”  

“If you wear a MAGA hat in downtown Chicago you probably wouldn’t last too long, about two seconds until you get shot,” the president’s eldest son added. 

{mosads}Smollett claimed that he was attacked earlier this month by two men wearing MAGA hats — a reference to President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan — who yelled racial slurs and phrases supporting the president. Authorities later said the “Empire” actor made up the account, and he is charged with filing a false police report.

Trump Jr. during the Fox News interview also accused Instagram of censoring him over a critical post about the Smollett incident that was taken down.

He said the social media platform told him his post was removed because it did not meet “standards.”

“It takes guts to actually go out there and actually question the narrative,” he said.

Trump Jr. then went on to say followers and supporters told him they were unable to “like” his other posts and ones made by the president.

Trump Jr.’s remarks about gun violence in Chicago echo those made by his father, who has likened the city to a “war zone.”

Trump has a tower in his name in Chicago run by the Trump Organization, which is currently being run by Trump Jr. and his brother Eric Trump.
