Trump knocks Dimon for supporting Haley

Former President Trump blasted JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on Thursday, after he boosted former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley’s 2024 presidential bid, calling him “overrated.”

“Highly overrated Globalist Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMORGAN, is quietly pushing another non-MAGA person, Nikki Haley, for President,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Thursday. “I’ve never been a big Jamie Dimon fan, but had to live with this guy when he came begging to the White House.”

“I guess I don’t have to live with him anymore, and that’s a really good thing,” he said.

Dimon complimented Haley on Wednesday, saying even Democrats should help the former South Carolina governor’s electoral hopes, as she would be “better than Trump.”

“Even if you’re [a] very liberal Democrat, I urge you, you know, help Nikki Haley too,” Dimon said in an interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin at the New York Times DealBook Summit.

“You know, get a choice, on the Republican side, that might be better than Trump,” he added.

But Dimon didn’t completely turn on Trump, refusing to oppose a second term for the former president.

“I would never say that … ’cause he might be the president,” he said. “I have to deal with that, too.”

Haley has risen as a choice rival among non-Trump-supporting Republicans for the GOP nomination, as tides shift against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) as the favored alternative.

She’s continued to rise in polls in recent weeks, matching DeSantis, but still falling far behind Trump.

The former president holds about 59 percent support in national polling averages, compared to DeSantis’s 13 percent and Haley’s 10 percent.
